Estimate your total vehicle registration renewal cost, including any late fine, based on your bluebook's expiry date. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

Fill in your vehicle details and expiry date, and the estimate updates instantly. Here's the full walkthrough, plus notes on the grace period and amnesty rules.
Pick your province and vehicle type
Bagmati's rates are cross-verified against a live renewal service; other provinces are sourced from a single consolidated reference, so treat those as a rougher estimate. Choose two-wheeler, four-wheeler, or the electric equivalent to match your vehicle.
Enter engine capacity and expiry date
Type your engine CC (or battery rating for EVs) exactly as printed on your bluebook, then set the expiry date shown there — it's in Bikram Sambat, same as what's on the document.
Check the box if you already have insurance
If your third-party insurance is still valid, tick "I already have valid third-party insurance" so it's excluded from the total — otherwise the estimate includes it, since renewal typically requires proof of coverage.
You can renew within 90 days of your bluebook's expiry date with no fine at all — only the base tax and renewal charge apply. The fine only kicks in once you're past that window.
It scales with how overdue you are: 5% within 30 days after the grace period, 10% within 45 days, 20% beyond that but still in the same fiscal year, and 32% per additional year once you're renewing in a later fiscal year. The flat renewal charge itself is also doubled (a separate 100% fine) once you're past the grace period.
Nepal's Transport Department currently caps payment at 4 years of tax and fines, no matter how many years your bluebook has actually been expired. If your calculation shows this applied, the tool flags it directly under your result.
Treat it as a planning estimate, not a final bill. Provincial governments can change tax rates or amnesty terms with little notice, and only your local Transport Management Office (TMO) can confirm the exact figure. Always verify there before paying, especially for provinces other than Bagmati.
